They are native to Pará, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Amazônia, Amapá, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, Maranhao, Caatinga, ParaíBa, Rio Grande Do Norte, Ceará, Brazil, Pernambuco, Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Tocantins, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, and RondôNia. They have achenes.
