They are native to Bahia, Minas Gerais, Paraná, South America, Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Cerrado, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Acre (Brazil), GoiáS, Santa Catarina, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Caatinga, Mato Grosso, and Rio De Janeiro. They have achenes.
