Tragopogon porrifolius (Salsify) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and achene. Flowers are visited by Rhodanthidium septemdentatum, Orellia falcata, and Amphicoma. Individuals can grow to 4.5 feet.
