Casearia decandra (Guaçatumba) is a species of tree in the family Salicaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Alagoas, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Maranhao, Bahia, ParaíBa, Cerrado, Amazônia, Roraima, Puerto Rico, Paraná, Piauí, Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, Acre (Brazil), Rio Grande Do Sul, Sergipe, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande Do Norte, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, GoiáS, Pará, Tocantins, Caatinga, Pernambuco, RondôNia, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 8.8 m.
