Cochlospermum vitifolium (Silk Cottontree) is a species of tree in the family Bixaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mata Atlântica, Amapá, Piauí, Bahia, Roraima, Caatinga, Pará, Alagoas, RondôNia, Maranhao, Amazônia, ParaíBa, Sergipe, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, and Ceará. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Melipona beecheii. Individuals can grow to 19.5 m.
