Fouquieria splendens (Ocotillo) is a species of shrub in the family Fouquieriaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, United States, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, spine-shaped leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Broad-billed Hummingbird, Rufous hummingbird, and Costa's Hummingbird. Individuals can grow to 10 feet.
