Polygonum aviculare (Knotgrass) is a species of annual herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, SãO Paulo, and Rio Grande Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Dock Bug, Mallota florea, Eupeodes luniger, and Marmalade hoverfly. Individuals can grow to 0.26 m.
