They are native to Denmark, Chatham Islands, South Island of New Zealand, Northern Provinces, Iceland, Victoria, Cape Provinces, Føroyar, Greenland, Sakhalin, Southern Africa, New Zealand, Queensland, South Australia, Primorskiy Kray, Western Australia, North Island of New Zealand, Tasmania, Africa, Namibia, Norway, Europe, Sweden, and Finland. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.14 m.
