Cichorium intybus (Chicory) is a species of biennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Northern Aerial Yellowjacket, Colletes hederae, Flower Flies and Hoverflies, and marmalade hoverfly. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
