Platichthys flesus (European Flounder) is a species of bony fishes in the family righteye flounders. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals can grow to 60.0 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous.
