Diagnostic Description

Dorsal surface of carapace with row of epigastric spines and one parahepatic spine, with moderately dense striae; anterolateral spine not reaching the level of the sinus between rostral and supraocular spines. Antennular basal article with distomesial spine as long as distolateral spine. Fourth sternite contiguous with median part of third sternite. Cheliped fingers less than 2 times as long as palm. Pereopods 2-4 propodi extensor margin without spines. Carpus of first pereopod with three spines on dorsal crest.

Babamunida plexaura is a species of squat lobster in the family Munididae.[1][2][3] It is found off of Tuamotus and the Tubuai Islands, at depths between about 350 and 400 metres (1,150 and 1,310 ft).[4]
