Teredo navalis (Shipworm) is a species of mussels in the family shipworms. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Dead Shipworm form shallow marine sediments. They are herbivores. Individuals can grow to 27 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They have parental care (female provides care).
