Phalacrocorax auritus (Double Crested Cormorant) is a species of birds in the family cormorants. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Neotropics and the Nearctic. Double Crested Cormorant is a diurnal vertivore. Individuals can grow to 2500 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Double Crested Cormorant has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
