Trigonopterus halimunensis is a species of flightless weevil in the genus Trigonopterus from Indonesia.[1]

Etymology

The specific name is derived from that of the type locality.[1]

Description

Individuals measure 2.53–3.00 mm in length. General coloration black, with a rust-colored head, antennae, legs, and part of the elytra.[1]

Range

The species is found around elevations of 1,429–1,756 metres (4,688–5,761 ft) in Mount Halimun Salak National Park in the Indonesian province of West Java.[1]

Phylogeny

T. halimunensis is part of the T. dimorphus species group.[1]
