Selaginella (Spikemoss) is a genus of herb in the family spikemosses. They are climbers. This genus is extinct. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Greenland, Hawaii, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Alaska, Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Flowers are visited by Vanessa cardui, cabbage butterfly, and Colletes malmus. Individuals could grow to 14 m.
