Genetta tigrina (Cape Genet) is a species of mammals in the family Viverridae. It is found in the Afrotropics. It is a solitary, nocturnal insectivore. Individuals are known to live for 180 months and can grow to 2225 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Cape Genet relies on arboreal (locomotion) to move around.
