Mellivora capensis (Honey Badger) is a species of mammal in the family Mustelidae. It is listed in CITES Appendix III. It is found in the Afrotropics, the Palearctic, and the Indo-Malayan Realm. It is a solitary omnivore. Individuals are known to live for 318 months.
