Nasalis larvatus (Proboscis Monkey) is a species of primates in the family Old World monkeys. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are found in the indo-malayan realm. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 252 months and can grow to 1430 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (paternal care and female provides care).
