Mecistocephalus marcusensis is a species of centipede in the Mecistocephalidae family. It was described in 1953 by Japanese myriapodologist Yasunori Miyoshi.[1][2]

Description

This species has 49 pairs of legs and can reach about 26 mm in length.[1]

Distribution

The species occurs on Minamitorishima, also known as Marcus Island, a small and isolated Japanese atoll in the north-western Pacific Ocean.[2]
