Mecistocephalus modestus is a species of centipede in the Mecistocephalidae family. It was described in 1919 by the Italian myriapodologist Filippo Silvestri.[1][2]

Distribution

The species occurs in New Guinea and Southeast Asia. The type locality is Sattelberg, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.[2]
