Marginella glabella is a species of colorful small sea snail, a marine gastropod in the family Marginellidae, the margin shells. [1]

Description

The length of the shell attains 18 mm.

Distribution

This species is found in Northwest Africa, including Cape Verde (doubtful),[1] Mauritania, Senegal and European waters, including the Canary Islands.[1]

Rolan mentions that this species does not exist in Cape Verde Islands. Its presence there might be explained by the fact that fisherman collect them and that they are kept for decoration and personal handicrafts
