Scleria gaertneri (Cortadora Blanca) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Caatinga, U.S. Virgin Islands, Alagoas, Puerto Rico, GoiáS, Amapá, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Piauí, RondôNia, Pampa, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Norte, AmazôNia, Pará, Pernambuco, Tocantins, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Maranhao, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Roraima, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Bahia, Sergipe, Paraná, Distrito Federal, and Pantanal. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
