They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico, Pampa, AmazôNia, Pará, Amapá, Sergipe, Maranhao, Acre (Brazil), Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, Pantanal, RondôNia, SãO Paulo, Caatinga, Distrito Federal, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Roraima, Tocantins, Pernambuco, Mata AtlâNtica, AmazôNia, Alagoas, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Santa Catarina, GoiáS, and Cerrado. They have simple, simple leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
