Eugenia uniflora (Surinam Cherry) is a species of shrub in the family myrtles. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Peru, Paraguay, Mata Atlântica, Guyana, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Guatemala, Panama, French Guiana, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Mexico, Colombia, Portugal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, Pampa, Minas Gerais, Suriname, Belize, Bahia, Costa Rica, Santa Catarina, Bolivia, Brazil, Espirito Santo, Paraná, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 33 m.
