Rhynchospora cephalotes is a species of herb in the family sedges. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Sergipe, Alagoas, Paraíba, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, Bahia, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Caatinga, Pará, Pernambuco, Rondônia, Amazônia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Piauí, Goiás, Cerrado, Roraima, Maranhao, Distrito Federal, Amapá, Tocantins, and Mato Grosso. Rhynchospora cephalotes has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
