Prochilodus vimboides (Ipanema Prochilod) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family Flannel-mouth Characiforms. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Individuals can grow to 46.5 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
