Misumena vatia (Crab Spider) is a species of spiders in the family crab spiders. They are native to The Nearctic and the Palearctic. They visit flowers of bishop's goutweed, japanese rose, Japanese wisteria, and smooth oxeye. They are solitary, diurnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 8 mm. They have parental care (female provides care).
