Runga akaroa est une espèce d'araignées aranéomorphes de la famille des Physoglenidae[1].
Cette espèce est endémique de Nouvelle-Zélande[1]. Elle se rencontre dans la région de Canterbury dans l'île du Sud[2].
Le mâle holotype mesure 3,32 mm et la femelle paratype 3,20 mm[2].
Son nom d'espèce lui a été donné en référence au lieu de sa découverte, Akaroa.
