These green balls are often seen in sphagnum ponds. Looking through the stereomicroscope this group of specimen looked photogenic. Eremosphaera viridis bears lots of chloroplasts, each with a central pyrenoid body. The brace like marks amidst the chloroplasts represent the amylum shells of the pyrenoids.
