Hedera helix (English Ivy) is a species of shrub in the family Araliaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Portugal, Cyprus, Morocco, Greece, Romania, Belarus, Turkey, France, Denmark, Israel, Tunisia, Latvia, The Netherlands, Algeria, Sweden, Armenia, Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Lithuania, Norway, Moldova, Poland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Hungary, United Kingdom, Libya, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, Lebanon, Albania, and Syria. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Mud dauber, Colletes hederae, Apis mellifera, and Camponotus lateralis. Individuals can grow to 6.3 m.
