Mauritia flexuosa (Moriche Palm) is a species of tree in the family palms. They are native to Ceará, Distrito Federal, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Amazônia, Maranhao, Caatinga, Piauí, Pará, RondôNia, GoiáS, Tocantins, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Acre (Brazil), and Bahia. Flowers are visited by Cyclocephala amazona, Favose Melipona, Honey-colored Fire Bee, and Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 35 m.
