Carex stipata (Awlfruit Sedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, North America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 3.5 feet.
