Cyperus compressus (Poorland Flatsedge) is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Pernambuco, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Cerrado, U.S. Virgin Islands, RondôNia, Roraima, Puerto Rico, Caatinga, Pantanal, Piauí, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Amapá, Mato Grosso Do Sul, AmazôNia, Distrito Federal, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Norte, Tocantins, Alagoas, Bahia, The Contiguous United States, Maranhao, and ParaíBa. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 1 feet.
