Cyperus haspan (Haspan Flatsedge) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Rio Grande Do Norte, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Espirito Santo, Pará, Santa Catarina, AmazôNia, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Distrito Federal, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pantanal, ParaíBa, Piauí, Roraima, SãO Paulo, Amapá, GoiáS, Mata AtlâNtica, Caatinga, Bahia, Ceará, RondôNia, Sergipe, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Pampa, Paraná, AmazôNia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, and Alagoas. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.98 m.
