They are native to Rio Grande Do Norte, Bahia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Roraima, AmazôNia, Caatinga, Piauí, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Amapá, RondôNia, The Contiguous United States, Acre (Brazil), Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Maranhao, Canada, Pantanal, Pará, Tocantins, Alagoas, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, ParaíBa, Pampa, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Sul, Hawaii, Sergipe, Puerto Rico, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
