Souchet Rond is native to Caatinga, Ceará, Alagoas, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima, Bahia, Amazônia, Amazônia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Santa Catarina, Espirito Santo, Sergipe, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, São Paulo, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Paraíba, Amapá, Rio Grande do Norte, Acre (Brazil), Goiás, Tocantins, Paraná, and Distrito Federal. It has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.68 m.
