Potamogeton illinoensis (Illinois Pondweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Potamogetonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Canada, SãO Paulo, The Contiguous United States, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Bahia, Piauí, Paraná, Pantanal, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Amazônia, North America, Caatinga, Pampa, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Mata Atlântica, and Puerto Rico. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.017 m.
