Description

Tufted perennial herb, growing from a small vertical rhizome. Leaves grass-like, filiform to linear, up to 60 cm, hairless or with long spreading hairs, mixed with shorter hairs. Inflorescences 1-6 racemes, many-flowered, up to 50 cm tall. Flowers white, c. 20 mm in diameter. Fruit a capsule, subspherical or somewhat 3-lobed, c. 5 mm in diameter, hairless, pale green to brownish.
