Pinus ponderosa (Ponderosa Pine) is a species of tree in the family pines. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, Western North America, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, spine-shaped leaves and yellow flowers. Individuals can grow to 223 feet.
