Herpestes vitticollis (Stripe Necked Mongoose) is a species of mammals in the family mongooses. It is listed in CITES Appendix III. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Stripe Necked Mongoose is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm. It is a solitary insectivore. Individuals are known to live for 12.8 years and can grow to 2995 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Stripe Necked Mongoose relies on running to move around.
