Kniphofia uvaria (Red Hot Poker) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asphodelaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Afrotropics. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by White Angled-Sulphur, Honey bee, Anna's Hummingbird, and Tui.
