Description: Introduced, warm-season, annual, erect, much-branched herb, 10–50 cm tall and woody at base; stems minutely glandular-hairy. Leaves are narrow-elliptic to linear-ovate, 2–20 mm long, usually 1–2 mm wide, usually hairless. Flowerheads are racemes mostly leaf-opposed, 2–6 cm long; pedicels < 1 mm long. Flowers are 2–2.5 mm long, white or rose pink to purple. Outer sepals 0.7–1 mm long; wing sepals c. 2 mm long. Keel slightly shorter than lateral petals, crested with a much-branched appendage.
