Genus Amphicteis ( anglais )

fourni par EOL authors

Amphicteis is a genus of marine polychaete worm found within Annelida. It is charactersized by several features, including sleek buccal tentacles at the anterior end and between 17-19 segments along the abdomen (Parapar, 2011). The abdomen bears notopodia and bundles of chaetae along each segementation, the exact details of the morphology of which can vary from species to species. The genus is widely distributed, with species found in both shallow and deep waters (Hartley, 1985).
