Typha domingensis (Southern Cat Tail) is a species of perennial grass in the family Typhaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to North America, Western North America, Eastern North America, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Maranhao, Sergipe, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Pampa, Pantanal, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, Pará, GoiáS, Tocantins, Pernambuco, ParaíBa, AmazôNia, Paraná, Mata AtlâNtica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Caatinga, Piauí, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Alagoas, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and Rio De Janeiro. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by White Peacock. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m. They have unisexual flowers.
