Thomasomys daphne és una espècie de rosegador de la família dels cricètids. Viu a altituds d'entre 2.000 i 3.540 msnm a Bolívia i el Perú. Els seus hàbitats naturals són els boscos montans, les zones pertorbades i els boscos primaris i secundaris. Es creu que no hi ha cap amenaça significativa per a la supervivència d'aquesta espècie.^[1]

L'espècie fou anomenada en honor de la nimfa Dafne.^[2]

Voorkomen

De soort komt voor in Bolivia en Peru.

Thomasomys daphne^[2][3] är en däggdjursart som beskrevs av Thomas 1917. Thomasomys daphne ingår i släktet paramoråttor och familjen hamsterartade gnagare.^[4][5] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som livskraftig.^[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.^[4]

Arten förekommer i Anderna och i det sydamerikanska höglandet i Peru och Bolivia. Den vistas i regioner som ligger 2000 till 2770 meter över havet. Individerna lever i bergsskogar eller i områden som tidigare var skogar.^[1]
