Stromata fleshy, patellate or subpatellate, adnate to the substratum or with the margin free, when dry pale flesh-colored or yellowishwhite, the stilbum-like outgrowths consisting of a stalk 1 mm. high and a subglobose head 400-600 j" in diameter; perithecia immersed but prominent, orange, ovoid or subglobose, 170-200 /^ in diameter; asci cylindric, 70-85 X 5. 5-7.5 fi ; spores 1-seriate, ellipsoid, slightly unequal-sided, minutely roughened, 1-septate, scarcely constricted at the septum, 10.5-12.5 X 4.5-5.5 ^.
On bark of trees.
Type locality : Island of St. Thomas, West Indies.
Distribution : Louisiana and West Indies.
