Description

Shrub, 1-3 m tall with a milky latex. Leaves opposite, lanceolate to ellipt, 4-12 cm long, thinly textured; margin entire, wavy; petiole, 4-13 cm long with tooth-like glands in the axils. Flowers 2.5 cm in diameter, white, in few-flowered terminal heads. Fruit of two fleshy mericarps, up to 2.5 cm long, mostly joined by a distinct saddle, creamy-green with darker green markings.
