Dolichophryxus geminatus n. sp.

Description. In addition to the generic charac­teristics, the species has body (2 mm long) widest at midlength; width of pleotelson less than half width of posterior margin of cephalon. Eight large and one small tooth on expanded basal plate of antenna 1. Uropodal rami with endopod slightly longer than exopod; two stout setae on each ramus. Basis of uropod also with two stout setae. The species name geminatus, from the Latin, refers to the two stout spines on each ramus of the uropod of the type species.

Type locality. 10-812: 64°45'S, 78°07'W; 64°45'S, 78°19'W; 570-1988 m. Holotype.

Distribution. Found only at type locality with many specimens of Cryptoniscidae.”
