Hypleurochilus aequipinnis és una espècie de peix de la família dels blènnids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.

És un peix marí de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall.[3]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a l'Atlàntic occidental (des del sud de Florida i les Bahames[6] fins al nord de Sud-amèrica, incloent-hi el Brasil)[7] i l'Atlàntic oriental (el Camerun, Togo,[8] el Senegal[9] i São Tomé).[10][3][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18]
