Asphodelus aestivus is a herbaceous species of plant in the family Asphodelaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Buff-tailed bumblebee, Euchloe ausonia (Hübner (1804)), Chelostoma, and Eucera. It is a photoautotroph.
