Jania adhaerens is a species of red algae in the family Corallinaceae. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Norte, ParaíBa, Piauí, Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará, Sergipe, Paraná, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Sul, and SãO Paulo. Dead Jania adhaerens form shallow marine sediments.
